Choose your facial cleanser for your skin type.
When purchasing a facial cleanser look for a gentle cleanser that suits your skin type.
Dry Skin: a cream-based cleanser leaves the skin with a soft velvet feel (no alcohol or harsh irritants)
Oily Skin: foaming cleansing that is gentle and PH balanced, as Oily skin can quickly become dry with harsh ingredients
Combination Skin: light foaming cleanser that contains gentle but active ingredients that both moisturise the dry skin but remove the oil and clear up blocked pores
Sensitive Skin: a gentle cleanser that is PH balanced, look for Gentle skin call out and minimal ingredient listings, Micellar Cleansers are a good option.
- Dampen your face with a soft washcloth or ECO pad, making sure the temperature of the cloth is not hot which will cause broken capillaries. (Broken capillaries are also caused by washing the cleanser off under the shower using hot water)
- Apply a cleanser and gently emulsify in an upward motion, avoiding the eye area.
- Using the rinsed dampened washcloth or ECO pad gently remove the cleanser from the face being careful not to drag it on the skin under the eyes.
